Mark Lewis, MS, LAT, CSCS, PES is the founder, owner, and operator of RTP Athletics. He is a licensed athletic trainer who specializes in athletic performance and treating athletic related injuries & conditions. Mark is also a certified strength & conditioning specialist and performance enhancement specialist through the National Strength & Conditioning Association / National Academy of Sports Medicine. Additionally, Mark is certified in manual therapy and trained in treating acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Rowan University, and furthered his education by earning his Master of Science degree from East Stroudsburg University. While in graduate school Mark worked for Division 1 Lehigh University Athletics. Immediately after graduate school he was hired by the Philadelphia Eagles medical staff as their seasonal intern. After a two year internship the organization promoted Mark to be a full time athletic trainer with the team. He would go on to work for the Philadelphia Eagles from 2011 - 2020, and become a world champion with the team in 2017 winning Super Bowl 52!
In total, Mark has 13 years of experience treating collegiate and professional (NFL & MLB) athletes. It has been a career goal of his to expand into the world of athletics and treat and train athletes of all skill levels and age groups. In doing so, create a culture that builds real relationships, values quality care, and always prioritizes what’s in the best interests of the athletes. This vision led to the development of RTP Athletics.
Credentials and certifications Mark holds include: Board Certified & Licensed Athletic Trainer (PA & NJ), National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified: Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Certified Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES), Certified Active Release Techniques (ART) provider, Certified Mulligan Manual Therapy Concept, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), Cupping Therapy, Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training, and several others.
