Manual Therapy

Manual Therapy Service

For acute and chronic pain.

RTP’s manual therapy service offers more than just your typical hands on treatment session. In addition to treating the area of concern, it’s important to always address areas around the problem site as well. Although myofascial and active release (ART) are primarily used, often there are also other forms of therapy (graston, cupping, joint mobilization, etc.) that truly enhance the treatment and may be utilized during your session. A detailed history is taken before treatment, and home corrective/strength exercises will be prescribed to help continue your progress. To cover all the above, sessions are 1 hour each.

A conservative pain management option that will help to Reduce Pain and Regain Function.

Which techniques are utilized with manual therapy?

Techniques utilized in this service include ART (Active Release Techniques), tissue distortion treatment, cupping therapy, graston technique, joint mobilization, and more.

What is active myofascial release?

Active myofascial release techniques (ART) is a non-invasive treatment system precisely engineered to locate and quickly resolve soft-tissue disorders. Treatment protocols are designed to reduce pain and restore loss of function caused by nerve and soft-tissue disorders in the lower body, upper body, and spine. Injuries or overused muscles can lead to scar tissue formation, causing tightness and restricted movement / function. These restrictions eventually lead to inflammation and pain. ART has the ability to restore normal texture, motion, and function of soft-tissue in the body.

Acute (new) & Chronic (long-term) conditions are treated.
